Bharat is 30 years old and lives with his parents in California. He was diagnosed at the age of 2 with a condition called Homocystinuria (similar to PKU), which is due to the absence of an enzyme, called Cystathionine ß Synthase. He has been on low-protein products and a supplemental methionine-free protein formula ever since.

He is a student at El Camino College and he is planning to transfer to a 4-year college soon. He has most recently joined Taste Connections and learning everything from “ground up” . He has also created websites www.hcusupport.com to bring the families with Homocystinuria together and www.endangeredandrareanimals.com to help bring endangered animals awareness to the public. He is very passionate about his causes.
